Peter Kavalos

Peter Daniel "Pete" Kavalos, 74, of Grayville, Illinois, formerly of San Antonio, Texas, died Thursday, May 16, 2019, at his home. He was born August 3, 1944, ion Erie, Pennsylvania, the son of Paul Kavalos and Jane (Gallant) Kunkel. Pete was a United States Air Force veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was a retired restaurateur and he also owned and operated a pawn shop. He enjoyed flea markets, going to the beach and taking trips to Las Vegas, Nevada. Survivors include daughters Stacee (J.R.) Zigmond, Chrissy (Greg) Chapman, all of Grayville, Darrah Kavalos of San Antonio; grandchildren James Dowlearn, Peter Dowlearn, Dillon Cox, Chelssie Lopez, Alexis Shaw; great grandchildren Heston Holcomb-Dowlearn, Koda Dowlearn, Kohen Dowlearn. He is preceded in death by his parents; and uncle and aunt, Joe and Virginia Bonaminio.
