Pedro Morales, Jr. of Universal City, Texas, passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 74.
He was born on September 21, 1948, to Hermina Morales in San Antonio, Texas.
He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1969 and served in the Vietnam War, until he concluded his service with the Marine Corp in 1974. He continued to serve in many branches of the military by enlisting in the Army National Guard and US Army with a combined total of 19 years.
He loved anything that had to do with the Marines. He also loved going to the Veterans Day and the 4th of July parades, and attending the Air Shows at Randolph Air Force Base to see all the Thunderbirds and/or the Blue Angels and all the planes on display.
He worked for Turbine Support as a maintenance worker for 20 years. He also worked with the Bexar County Hospital in several maintenance departments. He was employed with the US Veterans Hospital starting as a bus driver, where he transported patients to and from their appointments to the hospital. He worked 10 years at the VA, until he eventually retired.
After retirement, he enjoyed going on trips to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico and taking trips to Blanco State Park. He also enjoyed going camping and fishing.
He loved to watch any John Wayne (“The Duke”) movies. He loved going out and getting dressed up in his western clothes, boots, and hats. He enjoyed dancing at weddings and family gatherings. He loved to listen and sing songs from George Jones, Conway Twitty, and most of all his almost look alike Nick Villarreal.
