Paul Jones Paul Jones was born in Greenville, Alabama on September 20, 1961 to James and Willie Mae Jones. Paul graduated from Greenville High School and the Southern Association of Colleges and School, May 1981. He joined the Marine Corp in May 1980. He served in various assignments including Japan and Camp Le Juene, North Carolina. He transferred to the Army in 1988. Other assisignments included Germany. Decorations during his military career included Southwest Asia Service Medal Bronze Service Star-3; Kuwait Liberation Medal; Good Conduct Medal 1 Star; National Defense Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon with Number 2; Expert Marksmanship Badge Rifle, M-16; and Overseas Service Bar. While in Germany, Paul met Christa Briet in 1990. They were married on Christas birthday, September 19, 1997. To this union three boys were born, Jonathon ( JJ ), Jordan and Jesse. Paul was honorably discharged from the Army in 1992. He held various jobs in the civilian work force including working as an accountant for the Army. He was transferred to DFAS San Antonio in 2001. On November 7, 2007, Paul and his entire family were the first members to be baptized at the Covenant Community Church. They were blessed and assured of their salvation. Paul was always anxious to worship and fellowship with his new Christian family whenever he was able to attend church. Celebrating his home going are his loving wife Christa Jones, three adorable sons, Jonathon, Jordan, and Jesse, all of San Antonio, TX, one beautiful daughter, Makita Bowen of Greenville, AL; parents, James Jones and Willie Mae Jones of Greenville, AL; three brothers, Ralph Jones, Leroy Jones, Terry Jones all of Greenville, AL; sisters Ethel Jones Powell ( Steven) and Teresa Jones all of Greenville, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be 11:00 am, Friday, April 11, 2008 at Covenant Community Church ( Host Location is at Thousand Oaks Baptist Church), 15801 Jones Maltsberger Road, San Antonio, TX. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 am, Friday, April 11, 2008 at Covenant Community Church. Funeral Services entrusted to Schertz Funeral Home. Final grave site services will be at 2:30 pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, FSH, TX
