Patricia Ann Ritchie
Devoted mother and wife
Patricia Ann Ritchie “Patty, Pat”, 72, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at her home in Schertz, TX, with her family by her side.
Patricia was born on September 30, 1954, in San Antonio, TX, to Chester and Vivian McVeigh.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who dedicated her life to the people she loved and God. She will be missed dearly by her family.
Patty met and married the love of her life, Frank Ritchie. Their love story began with an immediate connection, and together they shared 54 beautiful years of marriage. They were blessed with five children and built a family filled with love and memories.
She was a great help with the family outreach ministry in the nursing homes and retirement homes we attended. She enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and, most of all, spending time with her loved ones. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family and creating memories with those closest to her.
Patricia is survived by her five children, Frankie, Rex, Jason (Kelly), Tommy, and Amanda (Michael), and her siblings, Sandra, Sharon, and Jimmy. She was also a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren: Cheyenne, Charles, Caroline, Amy, James, Ryan, Ashley, Michael, Marcus, Kailee, and Skylar.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Schertz Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX 78154. The celebration will begin at 1:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Patricia’s life, celebrate the love she shared, and remember the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
