Olivia Schulz

On 13 July 2022, Olivia Bertha Grote Schulz went to be with the Lord. Throughout her 98 years, Olivia enjoyed reading, flower gardening, bowling, and being with family and friends.

Olivia was born in Wetmore, Texas November 8, 1923, to Alma Stahl Grote and Alfred Grote.

Olivia married Martin J Schulz from Marion Texas on February 16, 1942. Early in their marriage Martin worked at Randolph AFB at the cadet mess. Olivia traveled to many locations as a result of Martin's military career. These included assignments to Japan, Oklahoma, Alaska, Louisiana, and finally Texas. Olivia accompanied Martin on all those assignments except Alaska.

While in Texas, Olivia worked for the USAF Base Exchange at Randolph AFB.

Olivia was preceded in death by her husband Martin J. Schulz, her parents Alfred and Alma Grote, Her sister Bernice Earls, and Her Brother Leroy Grote.

Olivia is survived by her son Gary Schulz and wife Amy of Texarkana, TX: one sister Barbra J. Alves of New Braunfels,TX, Grandchildren; Craig Schulz and wife Carrie of Schulenburg, TX, Brad Schulz and wife Keverly Schulz of Fayetteville, AR, Lee Schulz and wife Amy of Longview, TX. Great Grandchildren; Hunter, Hayden, Hannah, and Eli Schulz. (John Jackson and Caroline Jackson) As well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and lifetime friends.

Graveside Services for Olivia B. Schulz will be at the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Cemetery, New Braunfels Texas on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM
