Norma Richardson Lane passed away on February 22, 2024 at Guadalupe Valley Nursing and Rehab Center. She was predeceased by her parents Marvin E. Richardson, Sr. and Mary Eidson Richardson, husband Jack L. Lane, her brother M. Ernest Richardson Jr., sisters Hilda Richardson Seay Callaway and Sue Richardson.
Norma was born in Bullock County, Alabama on August 5, 1935. She moved to San Antonio as a young woman and lived there many years until her move to Shertz, with her husband Jack. Norma enjoyed traveling especially on trips with her church family at The Country Church. She loved watching the San Antonio Spurs and her Auburn Tigers. Norma was a longtime employee of Alamo Iron Works and loved working in her retirement at The Country Church where she was a faithful member. Norma was a loving aunt and good friend to many as shown by her many visitors while she lived at Guadalupe Valley. Those who live to cherish her memory are Marvin E. Richardson, III (Susan), Jan Richardson Cross (Johnny), Linda Seay Odom {Randy), Mary Douglas Seay Guildford and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Many special thanks to the staff of Guadalupe Valley Nursing Center and Guadalupe Valley Regional Hospice for their care of our Aunt Norma. Also special thanks to her friends Phil and Ruth Ann Jewett, Kanema Bolton, and Jenelle Mercer for their loving care and friendship as well as many others from her kind and compassionate friends at The Country Church.
A memorial service will held at The Country Church in Marion, TX. on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with a private burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery immediately following.
