Nancy Elizabeth Stricker

Nancy Elizabeth Stricker of San Antonio passed away at the age of 66 on December 13, 2023. She was born in Bellville, IL to Joseph M. Boyle of Pennsylvania and Mary G. Boyle née Mitchell of St. Johns, Newfoundland. Nancy was the youngest of five children. After her father passed away in Hawaii, the family moved to San Antonio. While working at First Mate, she met the love of her life, Robert Stricker. Nancy and Robert started dating in 1974 and were married in 1978. They were married for 45 years and raised two children.

Nancy enjoyed crafting, baking at the holidays, and spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons. She enjoyed going to their baseball games and school events. Whenever someone needed her, Nancy was there for them. She was an amazing wife, mother, Nene, and friend.

Nancy is survived by her husband Robert, her son, Jeff Stricker, her daughter, Lauren (Brian) Ledwik, two grandsons, Colby and Caleb Ledwik, brother Jim Boyle, sisters Patty Hoffman and Chris (Lee) Galon, sisters-in-law Geri Seidel and Betty (EJ) Trivette, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her dad, Joseph Boyle Sr., her mom, Mary Boyle née Mitchell, brother Joseph Boyle Jr., and mother-in-law Ida Stricker née McColley.

Visitation will be on December 27, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schertz Funeral Home

Funeral Service will be on December 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Schertz Funeral Home

Graveside Service will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery

Reception to follow at Garden Ridge Community Center

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on Nancy’s behalf to Animal Defense League of San Antonio or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
