In Loving Memory of Michelle

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michelle Anne Coleman, age 54, of Marion, Texas who left us on August 16th, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with cancer, to be with her Lord and Savior. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family.

Michelle was born April 20th, 1972 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to James and Sharon Miller. Proud of her Native American heritage, Michelle was a citizen of both the Cherokee and Osage Nations. She graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 1990, attended college at Stephen F. Austin State University and Angelina College to pursue nursing. Soon after, Michelle met Thomas Coleman, relocated to Houston and began her career in nursing. Following the birth of her third child, Michelle left nursing to become an entrepreneur. For eighteen years she owned and operated her own business focused on the care and development of children. Michelle was known for her patience, kindness and generous spirit. She could light up a room with her warm and welcoming smile.

On May 11, 1996, Michelle married the love of her life, Thomas. Together they shared 30 years and raised three children. Michelle lived life with a generous heart and a joyful spirit. She found happiness in the simple things and never lost her sense of wonder and fun. In her free time, Michelle enjoyed camping and the outdoors, collecting Precious Moments figurines, and celebrating her love for all things Disney. She donated much of her time, talent, and leadership skills to various organizations, including CASA de Esperanza of Houston, Scouts of America, and various youth programs in the greater Houston area. Michelle was a member of Central Baptist Church in Houston where she sang in the choir, not with her voice, but rather signed the joyous songs praising her Lord and Savior. Michelle also attended Everyday Christian Fellowship in Cibolo Texas.

Michelle’s greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind

· Her loving Husband, Thomas Coleman

· Her three children Seth and his Wife Rebekah, Tiffany and Daniel

· Her seven grandchildren, Seth Jr, Rahel, Yitzhak, Zerah, Gracealyn, Bethel, and Genesis

· Her Father, James Miller Jr

· Her Brother, James Miller the third

· Three loving American Bullies; Caine, Zena, and Drake

· And numerous relatives and friends.

Michelle was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sharon Kay Miller, as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Celebration of Life honoring Michelle Coleman will be held on September 12, 2026, at 10AM at the Everyday Christian Fellowship in Cibolo, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather together in remembrance of Michelle and to celebrate the life she shared with us.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Michelle’s memory to MD Anderson Cancer Center to support ovarian cancer research. Michelle’s greatest wish was that “no other woman would ever have to go through what I did.” Please consider honoring Michelle by helping make that wish a reality.
