Michael Friesenhahn

March 26, 1952 — June 27, 2008

Michael Wayne Friesenhahn, of Selma Texas, was born on March 26, 1952 in San Antonio and passed away on June 27, 2008 at the age of 56. He is preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Ludwig Friesenhahn and infant grandsons, Trystan and Brennan Friesenhahn. Michael is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janice Friesenhahn; son, Bradley Friesenhahn and wife Kelly; daughter, Erin Furlong and husband, Cody; grandsons, Kaydan Allayn Friesenhahn & Trace Michael Furlong; his father, Elgin Friesenhahn; brother, Garry Friesenhahn; aunt , Annie Findeisen; uncle, Edgar Ludwig and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews & cousins. He was President of G.E.M. Materials Inc., a former Selma City Councilman and a member of the Bracken Bowling Club. His family would like to give special thanks to Drs. Lisa and Frank Fichtel for their compassion and care over the last 5 years, as well as the staff at South Texas Methodist Hospital Neuro Critical Care Unit. A visitation will be held on Monday, 30 June 2008, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Following the visitation a Rosary will be Recited at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, Texas at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be Celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, with Father Conor McGrath as the officiant. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
