Michael Beauford

Michael Anthony Beauford passed away at the age of 31 on Friday, February 18th, 2022. He was a beloved son, father, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. Michael was born on August 2nd, 1990 in San Antonio, Texas to parents Tony Beauford and Michelle Ivery.

Michael played many sports all throughout his childhood. From soccer to basketball, baseball to football - he loved them all. Michael graduated from Samuel Clemens High School where he was the defensive lineman for the football team. Michael loved weightlifting, playing video games, accessorizing his vehicles, and debating. Most of all, he loved to make people laugh, and lived his life fearlessly.

Michael also enjoyed working with his hands. Throughout his adult life, he worked a variety of jobs which involved physical activity. His favorite job was doing electrical wiring with his uncle Bob. A special project Michael and Bob worked on together was setting up the wiring and electrical work for New Jerusalem Church.

Michael is survived by his daughter Aliyah Beauford, his mother Michelle Ivery, his father and step-mother Tony and Melinda Beauford, his maternal grandparents William and Teresa Remington, his paternal grandmother Peggy Gandy, his brothers Rafael Fernandes, Thomas Mitchell, Robert Jaynes, Andrew Jaynes, and Ben Ivery, his sisters Nichole Kinchion, Jennifer Crockett, Lora Blanco, and Elizabeth Ivery, his uncle Robert Remington as well as nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather James E. Beauford Jr., his uncle Ben Remington, and his aunt Jenny Remington.

A viewing will be held for Michael at Schertz Funeral Home on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022 at 5:00 pm. A funeral service to follow at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully appreciated for Shatterproof, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the addiction crisis in the United States (https://www.shatterproof.org).
