Mary “Kaye” Williams passed away on Good Friday, April 3, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Kaye was born to Clarence and Elizabeth Walter on April 15, 1939, in Duluth, Minnesota.
On November 3, 1956, Kaye married Lonie C. Williams, Jr., then an Airman in the United States Air Force. During Lonie’s 31-year Air Force career, they resided at bases in the Philippines, Germany, Turkey and all over the United States. During this time Kaye spent 37 years as an Air Force Civil Servant, including her last assignment at Randolph Air Force Base.
In 1984, Kaye and Lonie settled in Live Oak, Texas where they resided until Lonie’s passing on June 9, 2009, after 52 years of marriage.
Kaye is preceded in death by her parents, siblings and daughter-in-law, Diana Williams (son Michael’s bride). She leaves behind her beloved sons Michael C. Williams and Lonie C. Williams III, Lonie’s wife Elena, grandson Jordan Williams, step-grandchildren Gabe Morgione (and spouse Hollis Morgione) and Carli Morgione-Whitmore (and spouse David Whitmore), step-great grandchildren Rowan and Olivia Morgione, Lonie’s sisters Brook Soules and Nancy Stahl, and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. Kaye also leaves behind her dear companion and faithful caregiver, Frank Healy.
While Kaye is already in Heaven with Lonie and Diana (2 Corinthians 5:8), her earthly remains will be interred in the “top bunk” above Lonie’s at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. A celebration of life service for Kaye will be held at Schertz Funeral Home. Date and time are currently pending.
Memorials can be made to the Centurion Law Enforcement Ministry (https://thecenturionlawenforcementministry.org/) or the Joint Base San Antonio Randoph Chapel.
