Mary Cosson White

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Cosson White, who left this world peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the age of 89 in Cibolo, Tx. Born on May 22, 1935, in Lake Wales, Florida, Mary was the beloved daughter of Lewis and Mary Cosson.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was married to her late husband, Ancel “Sonny” White, for 53 years and they enjoyed dancing, traveling and making memories with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary spent her life devoted to her family. She was the glue that kept everyone together. Her advice was always rooted in love. She was an integral part of Sonny’s construction business. She enjoyed gardening, crafting and southern cooking.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ancel “Sonny” White; parents, Lewis and Mary Cosson; sister, Betty Allen; brother-in-law, Clifton Allen; daughter, Vicki Taylor and step-son, Mark White.

She is survived by daughter, Bonnie Snowden (Charles); step-son, Michael White; grandchildren, Chris White, Brandon White, Bradd Brooks, Nikkole Brooks (Jason), William Thornell (Jessica) and Deidre Haby (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Lorelei White, Luna Brooks, Alex White, Ashlyn Haby, Caleb Haby and Colin Dove.

Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glint on the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn’s rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush. I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there; I did not die.

Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear.
