Mary LaNell Dunn passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, in Selma, Texas, at the age of 77. She was born on February 5, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas. LaNell was the daughter of Jerome and Mary Engel, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also a devoted sister to Kathy Goodman, who survives her and continues to cherish their lifelong bond.

LaNell's journey through life was one marked by dedication, hard work, and deep devotion to her family. After a long and fulfilling career, she retired from Matara Paper and Joshen Paper, where she contributed her skills and professionalism for twenty years. 

Family was at the center of  LaNell’s world. She is survived by her loving son, Bradley Boening and his wife Mindy. Her beloved grandchildren, Colton Boening, Kyleigh Boening, and Brittnee Caroll. She is also survived by numerous family and friends. Each of them carries forward the legacy of her kindness, warmth, and enduring love.

LaNell’s life was a tapestry of moments defined by quiet strength and steadfast loyalty. She will be remembered not only for her professional dedication, but also for the thoughtful, caring relationships she fostered with those fortunate enough to be part of her family circle.

Family and friends are invited to honor LaNell’s memory at a Graveside Service, which will be held on August 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Cemetery, located on Real Road in San Antonio, Texas.
