Mary E. (Foster) Bush, 87, passed on to eternal life on 9 September 2022, at N.E. Methodist Hospital, Live Oak, TX. She was born 11 June 1935, in Laurel, MS, the daughter of George H. and Vivian E. (Hill) Foster.
Mary graduated from Jones County Agricultural High School, Ellisville, MS, class of 1953 and attended Jones County Junior College, Ellisville, MS, from 1953 to 1955. She graduated from MS Gulf Coast Junior College Jefferson Davis Campus, Gulfport, MS, with an LPN License in May 1974.
Over the course of Mary’s early life, she was blessed with and raised 4 loving children. She served others as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 34 years, primarily at Keesler Medical Center, MS, from where she retired as the senior LPN on 3 January 2008. After living in Biloxi for over 53 years, Mary moved to live with family in Cibolo, TX in 2013.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her newborn son Robin. She is survived by many friends and family, including, her daughter Sharon and her husband Jean Fluevog, of Basehor, KS, son Timothy and his wife Christi Bush, of Goodlettsville, TN, daughter Vivian and her husband David Wagoner, of Cibolo, TX, and son Brett and his wife Cindy Bush, of Waukegan, IL. as well as 5 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Mary's public Celebration of Life Service will be on 1 October 2022, at 11:00 AM in Universal City, TX at Universal City United Methodist Church, 90 Winn Ave., Universal City, TX, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service on 15 October 2022, at 10:00 AM in Laurel, MS at the Memory Chapel, 3100 Audubon Drive, Laurel, MS 39440, followed by a reception. A private graveside service for immediate family will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In honor of Mary, please consider wearing something purple as it was her favorite color. Also, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation, in honor of Mary E. Bush, to your favorite charity of choice.
