Mary Catherine Burger, age 74 of Cibolo, passed away on August 21, 2007. She was born to Raymond & Margaret Cahill on August 7, 1933 in Cincinnati, OH. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Burger and grandson, James. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Perkins & husband, Wayne, Venice, FL, Kathleen Chojnicki, New York, NY, Mary Lynn Smith & husband, Everett, Burlington, KY and Julie Dewitt, Venice, FL; sisters, Patricia Hack & husband, Paul, Mason, OH and Ruth Gee, Davidson, NC; grandchildren, Michael, Casey, Nicole and Abbey; great-granddaughter, Kyra and a host of friends. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM (with a Rosary being Recited at 5:00 PM) on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass will be Celebrated at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 27, 2007 at Randolph Air Force Base Chapel One with Father Dan Majerus as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Vitas Hospice, 5430 Fredericksburg Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78229.
