Martha Garza

Martha (Morayiah) Imelda Garza, 62 passed away surrounded by her beloved family on Friday June 4 ^th 2021. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

Born in Brownsville, Texas on September 23, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Jose Gregorio Sauceda and Maria Paredes. Morayiah grew up in Sanger, California, where she frequently visited Yosemite National Park with her family. In 1979 she married JD Garza. Soon after they welcomed her only son Joseph Daniel Garza. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved being around her grandchildren and enjoyed preparing home cooked meals. She was a perfectionist and a very talented artist. She loved to plan exquisite parties for her loved ones. Morayiah loved to attend all of her grandchildren’s many activities and was always there to support them.

Morayiah was preceded in death by her parents Jose Gregorio Sauceda and Maria Paredes and her sister Rosemary Taylor. Morayiah is survived by her husband JD Garza her beloved son Joseph Garza, wife Vanessa Garza and beloved grandchildren Christian and Alexander Garza. She is also survived by her sister Rebecca Solis, husband Joe Solis, niece Victoria Solis, nephew Sebastian Solis and brother Joe Saucedo.

She was the absolute best mother and grandmother in the world. She will always be loved, missed and will remain in our hearts forever. May she rest in peace as she is in God’s hands now.

A memorial Service will be held on Sunday June 27, at 3:30 PM at Laurel Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church. 703 W Ashby Pl, San Antonio, TX 78212.
