Marshall Allen Rowe of Seguin, Texas, surrounded by family, passed away to heaven in Seguin on July 26, 2026 at age 82.

Born on January 1, 1944 in Baytown, Texas, to Lynn E. Rowe, Sr. and Miriam Waldrep Rowe, Marshall grew up in Baytown. A 1962 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, Marshall participated in the R.E. Lee marching band before receiving a music scholarship in trombone to the University of Houston. As a member of the U of H marching band and subsequently receiving a degree and teaching certificate to teach music, Marshall instead decided to join the Navy. His love of the Navy and his career there as a hospital corpsman at the Naval Hospital in San Diego were interrupted by a strong urge from God to volunteer for service with Marines in Vietnam.

Following Vietnam, Marshall spent a year in a seminary before leaving to join Campus Crusade for Christ in their military ministry outreach. Marshall's main joy there was to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to servicemen through the chaplaincy on bases in San Diego, CA, Norfolk, VA, and on Guam. In 1971 at a conference in San Bernardino, CA, he met Emily Eaton and married her eight months later. After 17 years with Campus Crusade, Marshall earned two master's degrees and retired as a special education teacher of youth with severe needs.

Marshall's love of music especially included classical and rock. He looked forward to serving in church outreaches to families in need. Since childhood and for the rest of his life, his favorite vacation place was always Garner State Park in Texas. Annual family vacations to "Garner" were some of the greatest gifts Marshall gave his three daughters and ultimately their families as well.

Marshall is survived by his wife Emily, three daughters and other close family members--Christie Murray, Brent Murray, Stacey Spink, Edmundo Elizondo, John Romo, and Stephanie Rowe. In addition, he is survived by grandchildren Madelynn Romo, Duke Haley, Skye Haley, Reagan Roncone, Reya Rutherford, and Rydan Rutherford. Besides his parents, Marshall was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Rowe Hansen and brother Lynn E. Rowe, Jr.
