Marlyn Joan Virginia Rasmussen passed away February 5, 2021, at her home in Cibolo, Texas, at the age of 84. She was born on November 10, 1936 in Champaign, Illinois to parents, Irwin and Fern (Simmons) Hoener.
Marlyn graduated from Washington and Lee Highschool in Arlington, Virginia and later attended The University of Illinois and Radford College. She worked as a school bus driver in Virginia and a kindergarten teacher’s assistant in Georgia. While raising 3 successful children, Marlyn packed the family up and moved 10 times due to Paul’s employment opportunities. With a bit of a green thumb, Marlyn enjoyed watching her plants grow but what brought her the most joy was being a grandmother to her 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was a beautiful and caring soul who loved everyone she met. She will be missed greatly by so many that love her.
