Marlin "Marv" Embry, of St. Hedwig, TX was born on July 23, 1941 in Welches Creek, KY and passed away on August 24, 2008 at the age of 67. He is preceded in death by his father, Brodie Embry. Marlin is survived by his wife of 28 years, Martha Jane Embry of St. Hedwig, TX; mother, Tanzie Embry of Welches Creek, KY; brothers, Arlin Embry of Owensboro, KY and Emanuel Embry of Caneyville, KY; sisters, Elaine Smith of Lincoln, IL, Ann Dennis of Leitchfield, KY, Mary Decker of Leitchfield, KY, Patty Embry of Welches Creek, KY and Debra Embry of Welches Creek, KY; children, Robert Jenkins & wife, Victoria of San Antonio, TX, Timothy Jenkins & wife, Carol of Cape Coral, KY, Lisa Schmidt & husband, Eddie of Schertz, TX and Sharon Gaver & husband, Ron of Port St. Jones, FL; grandchildren, James, Matthew, Jacob, Aaron, Melissa, Taylor, Peyton and Katie; great-grandchildren, Berlin and Colton. After 20 years of honorable service in the U.S. Army, Mr. Embry continued his career dedicating 20 additional years to the Rutledge Heavy Equipment Company. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM " 9:00 PM, Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, TX. Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment, with full military honors, will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
