Mark Tackett

November 11, 1948 — October 9, 2008

Mark G. Tackett, beloved son, husband, father, and friend, died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the age of 59. Mark had a long career as a distributor with the San Antonio Express News and was currently an employee of Wal-Mart. He loved working at Wal-Mart, because Mark loved talking to everyone. He was known for being friendly and helpful to all. An avid hunter, Mark enjoyed the outdoors. He was a devoted Spurs fan, and loved watching his son Ryan play baseball and football. Ryan was Marks pride and joy. He loved his family more than anything. Mark will always be remembered as a kind and loving man, who went out of his way to make others happy. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his mother, Tressie Tackett of San Antonio, TX; wife, Kathy Grobe Tackett and son, Ryan both of Cibolo, TX; brother, D. Rex Tackett & wife, Mariann of Brownwood and numerous nieces & nephews. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, TX. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 13, 2008 at Schertz Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park in New Braunfels, TX.
