Marites Cruz

Marites Dela Cruz, 62, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at her home at Live Oak, Texas after a courageous battle with kidney disease for 9 years.  Marites is survived by his husband, Rolando Sr, her children, Maricel, Marilou, Marcial, Yolanda, Rolando Jr., and Johnmil. Her grandchildren, Christina, Ninia, Marjorie, Antonette, JM, Ethan, Airah, Leclec, Lawrence, Micah, Cheska, Justin, and Jeremy. Her son-in-laws Nathaniel Rillera, Edmund Parungao, Junjun Barcelon and daughter-in-law Noemi Tactacan and Julie Ann Barroga, and a lot of siblings, cousins, nephews, and nieces. She is predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and her son Joel who passed away August 5, 2021.

Marites was born in Nueva Ecija, Philippines to Dominador Bernardo Sr. and Consuelo Berza. She migrated here to the USA on July 27, 2014.

She was a devoted, caring, and loving mother. She loved to cook delicious foods for the family. Though she's sick, she extends her help financially to our relatives who are in need in the Philippines. She was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. Because some of our family members are a thousand miles away from here, her simplest pleasure was to talk to them via messenger.

She will be sorely missed!
