Marcus Ryan Hughes

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved son, Marcus Ryan Hughes. He passed at his parents home at the young age of 46.

 He was born on June 8th, 1979 in San Antonio to Cheryl and Greg Hughes. He had many accomplishments. The greatest was earning his degree from the University of Texas. He proudly displayed his love for U.T. with all his memorabilia. He was a social butterfly with a great sense of humor. He was a kind and giving soul to family and friends, he will be missed by all. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home. 

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Schertz Civic Center - Building 5, located at 1400 Schertz Parkway.

In lieu of flowers, you may consider a donation to Cibolo Animal Shelter in honor of Marcus and his dog Mason Dixon Hughes.
