Marcos Rauch Jr

June 3, 1937 — January 28, 2026

Seguin, Texas

Marcos Rauch Jr left this earthly world on January 28th 2026. Marcos, better known as Mark, was born on his family farm June 3, 1937 in Geronimo TX to Marcus Fritz Rauch Sr and Betty Johanna Dietert Rauch. As a German farmer’s son, he was raised speaking only German until the age of six and raised cattle, horses, pigs and chickens. After he grew into a strapping young man, he left the farm to work on the railroad before being drafted into the Army in 1960 serving most of his time in Germany. After the Army he moved back to Texas and married the beautiful Priscilla Keyes and quickly started a family with a son, Warren and then daughter Cindy. He excelled at numerous ventures spending many years with JCPenneys and finally 25 years serving as the Parts Manager for RDO equipment until retirement.

Mark was always a hard working man who also loved hunting and working machines on the family property. As a hobby rancher he kept a small herd of cattle in Marion on his daughters property and they were his babies, eagerly waiting for that big blue Dodge to come rumbling down the road. After the unexpected passing of his wife of 42 years, he eventually retired from RDO to pursue a bit of traveling. During that time he met a lovely lady, Jo Williams, who would be his longtime companion.

His strict upbringing and military training sculpted him into the man he was and imparted that wisdom on his own children Warren Rauch and Cindy (Rauch) Koch. His fathering journey did not end there as he was instrumental in the raising of his six grandchildren, each of them with many stories they hold dear to their heart.

Mark was also very proud of his German ancestry, telling stories that had been passed down with each generation and continuing his own research and preservation.

Mark was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle to many. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Wife- Priscilla Keyes Rauch and son Warren Grant Rauch Sr. He is survived by his daughter Cindy, husband Kenny; six grandchildren,Warren Rauch Jr, Tiffany Rauch-Smock (Justin), Alecia Rauch, Travis Koch (Zan), Ethan Koch (Julie), and Kyle Koch; companion Jo Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind twelve beautiful great grandchildren…Verona Wiseman-Rauch; Jane and Warren III Rauch; Makayla and Makenna Smock; Gabryel Rauch, Mason and Jason Patterson; Aicen and Adalee Koch; and Parker and Peyton Koch.
