Marcella Poff

Marcella Witt Poff, 70, of Lynch, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022.

Marcella was born on August 29, 1952 to Hazel and Ollie Witt. She was a graduate of Cumberland High School in Cumberland, KY.

While working at the Pineview Restaurant in high school, Marcella met her loving and devoted husband, Mike Poff. They were married December 22, 1973 and had three children, Becky, Mike and Matt Poff. Mike and Marcella were married 48 years. Marcella devoted her life to being a wife and mom. She was a homemaker who loved cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with family. Marcella was a devoted member of Central Baptist Church.

Marcella adored her four grandchildren and spent as much time with them as she could, often traveling back and forth between North Carolina and Texas. She loved to cook with them, read books to them or whatever else they asked her to do.

Marcella was predeceased by her husband, Mike Poff, her parents, Hazel and Ollie Witt, sisters Judy Martin and Jenny Sherman as well as other family members. She is survived by her three children, Becky Galloway, Mike (Jodi) Poff, and Matt (Jessica) Poff. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren, Madison, Matt and Ella Poff and Emeeko Galloway, her sisters, Pat Dixon and Shirley Ogborn, brother, Johnny Witt and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be planned at a later date that will be determined and shared with family and friends.
