Lynda Gayle Kirchhof, 78, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born in Asheville, North Carolina, Lynda grew into a woman who made others feel at home wherever she went. She proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era, where she met her husband, Ron Kirchhof. They shared 53 years of marriage built on family and lasting memories. During her service, she was also honored as Miss Randolph Air Force Base for 1970–1971.

After her military service, Lynda worked with the Department of Defense and devoted much of her life to children and education. She volunteered extensively at her children’s schools, served as PTA President, and later worked as a Special Education Teacher’s Assistant with North East Independent School District, where her patience and compassion made a lasting impact on her students.

Lynda’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, Mimi, and a loving presence to many nieces, nephews, and friends who considered her a second mom or grandma. She supported her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all they did and took great pride in their lives and accomplishments. Whether attending events, celebrating milestones, or simply spending time together, she was a constant source of encouragement and pride.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ron Kirchhof; her children, Ronnie Kirchhof and his wife, Becky, and Brandi Crockett and her husband, Mike; her grandchildren, Cody Kirchhof, Dylan Kirchhof, Justen Crockett (Yagmur), Wesley Crockett (Lauryn), Payton Crockett, and Parker Crockett; and her great-grandchildren, Jack and Mary Crockett.

She is also survived by her mother, Betty Daniels; her sister, Deborah Daniels; her sisters-in-law, Patricia Bohuslav and Debra Morris (Randy); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Grover Harrison Davis.

Lynda will be remembered for her service, her devotion to family, her kindness toward children, and her ability to make others feel welcome and cared for. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the family she cherished.

A private burial will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with honor for her service to her country.
