Lucille Licht was born Lucille Clark in San Antonio, Texas on March 13,1928 and was called Home to Jesus ninety-seven years later on August 12, 2025. Her parents were Jesse and Carmen Clark. Lucille was the oldest daughter of six children who lived on Josephine Street off Broadway.
She started work at the young age of 14 to help with family finances. Lucille was such a beauty, Studer’s Photos used her portrait as advertising in the newspaper. Lucille met the love of her life at Brackenridge Park in 1942. She was determined not to be a wartime bride. They corresponded faithfully for five years and married in 1947.
Lucille did all she could to follow her love wherever the Navy assigned him, even if it meant living in the jungle on a small island called Guam. Through their travels, they were blessed with three children. Two were born in the United States and one in Okinawa.
After twenty years of service, Lucille and Dan retired in San Antonio. Continuing to raise their family, they found time to share their love of golf. Lucille worked as a bookkeeper for Falstaff Beer Company and then joined Dan at the Halo Corporation, also as a bookkeeper. They loved carpooling together for many years.
Lucille was involved in various ministries at St. Pius X and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where her daughter’s family have been active members for many years. Lucille’s ministries included Eucharistic minister, Hospital Ministry, Adoration, ACTS Retreat Teams, Prayer Group and summer courses to study Theology. She also traveled to Medjugorje twice, to the Holy Land twice and once to Rome. Lucille was strongly devoted to her faith and prayed rosaries every breath of her life.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Camille Huddleston (Michael Sr.), grandchildren: Michael Huddleston Jr. and Caresa (Joey Graves), great granddaughter, Olive Gallner, her brother, James Clark, and numerous nieces and nephews and Debbie’s beloved husband Gregory Moore.
Lucille has joined her husband of 66 years, Daniel, their daughter Debbie L. Moore and son Danny in Heaven along with her parents and four of her siblings.
The family would like to thank Graceland Assisted Living, the wonderful staff that lovingly cared for her. Also, many thanks to Sacred Heart Hospice who gave Lucille the same loving care during the last two weeks of her life.
Lucille will be remembered for her beautiful smiles and joyful singing. You would always find Lucille with rosary in hand, praying for all.
