Lovella Sills Talley, 85, of Converse, Texas passed away on January 14, 2026.

Lovella was born on November 13, 1940, in Model, Tennessee to parents, Riley and Gracie Sills. Lovella was proceeded in death by her brothers, Bruce, Gordon, Carlton, Howard, James, and RW Sills; sisters, Bethel Holland, Louise Page, and Vickie Chambers; parents Riley and Gracie Sills; and her husband, Carlos Talley. She is survived by her daughters, Devona Palomo (Chame) and Carla Talley, and her beloved grandchildren, Victoria Cortez and Andrew Palomo and great-grandchildren; Rey, Apollo, and Noah Cortez.

Lovella was a member of First Baptist Church in Universal City, Texas, the Red Hat Society, the Antique Roses and the Artistic Angels both of Converse. She was also a member of the Enlisted Wives Club and volunteered at the thrift store at Randolph Air Force Base. Lovella dedicated 50 years of her life in Public Service.

Lovella was generous, organized, loved her pets, her family, and loved Jesus most of all. She found joy in reading books and spending time with her family. Lovella was also a great businesswoman and taught us a lot about finance and how to be in charge of our own health and medical issues. She is already greatly missed, but we rejoice knowing she is in the loving hands of Jesus.
