Lois Lantgen, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 95. Born on June 12, 1930, in Duluth, Minnesota, Lois lived a life marked by resilience and a passion for connecting with others.
In August of 1962, she married the love of her life, Henry Lantgen, and together they built a blended family rooted in military strength and devotion. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Edward; her siblings, Shirley and Donald; her husband, Henry; her sons, Craig and Michael; and her great-grandson, Mason. Though her journey included deep loss, she met each hardship with an unwavering spirit that defined her to the very end.
Lois is survived by her devoted daughter, Michelle, and her cherished grandchildren: Virginia (and her husband Santiago), Danielle, Chelsea (and her husband Steven), and Katlin. Her legacy also lives on in her great-grandchildren: Allison, Maddie, Wyatt, Hunter, Jaxon, and Ben — each of whom brought her immense joy.
Those who knew Lois will remember her fondly for her love of bowling and her lively conversations with countless friends. Her grandchildren especially treasure memories of family trips to SeaWorld, tea parties in the sunroom, discussing the latest Spurs game, and the comforting aroma of coffee that greeted them each morning in her home.
Lois was known for her stubborn streak — a trait that often brought both smiles and headshakes — but even more so for her fierce heart. She faced life with the strength and spirit of a lion, always putting her family first and never shying away from speaking her mind. Her presence was a force, her love a constant.
She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of determination, love, and devotion will live on in all who knew her.
