Lillian Antoinette Jacko of Schertz, Texas passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 10, 1932 in Racine, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Sam and Angelina Recupero.
Lillian was a devoted mother raising six children and later in life helped raise a grandson. She had a love for animals and adopted several cats who quickly became part of her family. Lillian was active in the Randolph Area Christian Assistance Program for many years, serving meals to the community and working in their Thrift Store several times a week. She was very involved in the church and was an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Good Sheppard Catholic Church in Schertz, TX, before becoming a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, TX
She is survived by her children Paul Jacko Jr. (Cathy) of Maryland, Annette Evans of Florida, Nanette Jacko of Texas, Catherine Jacko of Texas, Michael Jacko (Elise) of Texas, Mary Moorman (Michael) of Colorado, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, brothers Jim Recupero of Washington and Dave (Kathy) Recupero of California; sisters Rose Derby of California and Josie Morgan of California.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Jacko who passed away in 1979, sisters Antoinette, Virginia, and Mary, brothers Tony and Gene, and a lifelong friend Stephen Rovnak.
Interment will be held at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Paul.
