Lewis Brown

Lewis Brown, beloved husband, father, pastor, and teacher, passed away on November 27, 2023 at the age of 89 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on January 7, 1934 in Washington D.C.

Lewis was a man of many talents and passions. He served in the Air Force as a Special Ops member, dedicating his life to serving his country. After his military career, he became a pastor, using his strong faith and kind heart to guide others towards a closer relationship with God. Lewis also found joy in teaching and counseling high school students, helping them navigate through the challenges of life. He dedicated the remainder of his life to missionary work in Vermont. In his free time, he could be seen on the golf course or enjoying the outdoors and the company of his family.

Lewis was a devoted husband to his wife, Alta Brown, for 67 years. Lewis is survived by his beloved wife, Two sons David Brown & Stephen Brown. Four Grandchildren; Christopher Brown, David Brown, Stephanie Hughey, Kathryn Brown. Eleven great grandchildren; Kyrstin Brown, Taylor Brown, Sophia Brown, Gage Brown, Serenity Brown, Mason Brown, Alden Brown, Kaylee Nunley, Lily Hughey, Saidee Meehan, Joshua Meehan. Four Great-great Grandchildren; Mateo Mann, Liam Rangel, Elianna Ortiz, Ariella Perez 

A celebration of Lewis' life will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Universal City, Texas. The family requests In lieu of flowers, send donations for the lamb offerings (mission's work) first baptist church universal city. Lewis' legacy of service and kindness will continue to live on through these contributions.

Lewis will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace, knowing that he made a positive impact on the world and left behind a legacy of love and faith.
