Leonard Joseph Krzywosinski, age 92, gracefully passed away with his family surrounding him on April 3, 2021. Leonard was born October 23, 1928 in Lockhart, Texas to Stephanie Bonkowski and John Krzywosinski. He married his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Louise Fey, in 1952 and had two wonderful children, Debbie James of San Antonio and Michael Krzywosinski (Laurie) of Spring Branch. He was blessed with six grandchildren, Keith Askin, Kristin Stelmazewski, Karrie Burns, Emilie Bailey, Katie Sherrill, and Kyle Krzywosinski, and thirteen great grandchildren, Kegan, Parker and Knox Stelmazewski, Burke and Beckett Askin, Emerson, William and Caroline Burns, Maddie and Paige Bailey, Kymber, Garner and Granger Sherrill, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Leonard was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School Alumni, Class of 1946 and after graduating served in the Army before working 41 years for Western Union as a General Manager in San Antonio, Texas.
Leonard’s life will be celebrated Friday April 9, 2021 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 350 Sutton, San Antonio, Texas with visitation from 6 - 7pm and a Rosary recited by Msgr. Charles Chaffman starting at 7pm. Leonard will be laid to rest with his family who preceded him in death, his mother, father, sister, and brother, in Polonia Cemetery in Lockhart, Texas. On Saturday, April 10, 2021 a Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (Lockhart, TX) at 10:00 am, followed by Leonard’s burial at Polonia Cemetery. Burial will be followed by a reception at 1:00 pm at Kreuz Market, Lockhart, TX.
Pallbearers carrying him home will be Keith Askin, Kyle Krzywosinski, Kegan Stelmazewski, Henry Fey, Gerry Karam and Darrell Hoberer.
The family kindly requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to “The Fund” for Central Catholic High School in honor of Leonard Krzywosinski class of 1946.
