Leola Ray

Leola “Cokie” Ray, age 91,  passed away on February 27, 2023.  She was born on March 19, 1931, in Kerrville, Texas to Granville and Josephine Lackey.

Leola married her husband Harold Kenneth “HK” Ray on March 8, 1947, and they spent 50 Years and 3 months together.  She worked for the Randolph ISD school cafeteria and enjoyed spending her days doing her favorite things which included fishing, gardening, and baking.

She is preceded in death her husband, H.K.; her parents, Granville and Josephine; and her daughter, Barbara Koch.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Cletus Koch; grandchildren, Kenneth (Cindy) Koch, Connie Koch, Christie Koch; ten great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 2, 2023, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, Texas.  Interment will be held later that day at 3:00 PM at Centerpoint Cemetery in Centerpoint, Texas.
