Lawrence L Pratt

Lawrence L Pratt, 85, of Cibolo, TX, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2023 in San Antonio, with his beloved family at his side.

Larry was born on April 7, 1938, in Keene NH. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Flora Pratt, and his 11 siblings, Leroy, Betty, Irene, Lorraine, Eva, Lois, Bobby, George Niles, Arthur (Sonny), Daniel (Danny), and George.

After 26 years of military service in the United States Air Force, he worked for the US Postal Service at the Main Post Office in San Antonio. Before retiring, he owned his own business, “Pratt’s Thrift and Gift Shop”. Larry’s favorite past times were traveling while obtaining souvenirs and collecting treasures locally from garage sales, estate sales, and thrift stores. Very active with his church, Larry also served as an Usher and with the Knights of Columbus and St Vincent de Paul along with numerous other ministries over the years.

Larry married the love of his life Maria in Montecello, New Mexico on June 6th, 1959. They recently celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary which included Larry singing love songs to Maria for the occasion.

Larry is survived by his wife Maria, by his daughter Marie Carr (Wayne - deceased), by their daughters Susan Cronk (Russell) and Ramona Schuster (Rick), his grandchildren Michael, Vicky, Marvin, Ember, Eric, Rachel, Angela and Julia, along with 7 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on June 13th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with a Rosary at 10:30 and Mass at 11:00 am. The interment at Ft. Sam Houston cemetery will be determined at a later date and a reception is not planned.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the St Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated.
