Lane Hallar Wright

Lane Hallar Wright of Schertz, Texas peacefully ascended to Heaven at the age of 80 on January 9, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Lane was born in Big Springs, Texas on September 14, 1943 to her mother Bartha Handy and father Robert Handy. She worked as a certified nurse assistant with morningside ministries and truly loved providing compassionate care to her patients. Her happiest moments in life were traveling the world, moving to San Antonio, gardening, loving on her cats, and spending the last 30 years with the love of her life when he was behaving himself.

Lane is survived by her husband of 30 years Terry Davenport, her sisters Jo Taulbe, Judy Hanna, her brother Bobby Handy, numerous nieces, nephews, family, friends and her sweet fur baby Kitty Kat. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday January 14, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Schertz Funeral Home. David Guion will officiate. There will be a reception immediately following the service at the Schertz VFW Post 8315.
