Kristen Ahrens

Kristen Ahrens went to be with Jesus on Tuesday April 6, 2021 at the age of 30. She was born on January 26, 1991 in San Antonio, Texas to Charles Ahrens, Jr. and Julie (Petzold) Bennett.

Kristen received her Bachelor’s In education from UTSA in 2014. She received her Physical Therapist Assistant Degree from St. Phillip’s College in 2019, which she completed while powering through cancer treatment.

Kristen enjoyed watching the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Astros, and Dallas Cowboys. She, herself, was well known for her toughness on the flag football field and basketball court. When she wasn’t cheering on her favorite team, you might find Kristen with friends and family watching her favorite movies. Kristen was an avid concert-goer and traveler, who you could always count on to have the coolest shoes in the room. Kristen was the most kind, caring, funny, and helpful person there was. She always lit up the room with her smile and laugh. Anyone that met her loved her.

Kristen is survived by her parents, Julie & Bruce Bennett and Charles & Beatrice Ahrens, siblings Matthew & Raven Ahrens, Bradley & Caroline Bennett, Aidan & Kimberlee McCabe, Alana McCabe, Bret & Sarah Bennett, and Phyllis & Korey Kilcrease, and grandmother Irma Trujillo, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00PM - 8:00PM on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will take place at 11:00AM on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Community Bible Church with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
