Ken Hellman

March 17, 1918 — November 2, 2007

Ken Hellman was born to William Henry & Francis Edna (Severence) Hellman on March 17, 1918 in Portland, Oregon. He passed away on November 2, 2007 in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 89. Ken is survived by his wife, Louise Hellman of New Braunfels; son, Howard Hellman & wife, Janet of Indio, California; daughters, Carolyn Mizell & husband, Sam of New Braunfels and Theresa ONeill & husband, Kenny of Ventura, California; grandchildren, Traci Eckenreiter & husband, Wolfgang, Scott Mizell & wife, Sylvia, Michael Mizell & wife, Stephanie, Melaina Mizell, Mark Hellman & wife, Julie, Krista Simpson & husband, Alan, Scott Mendenhall, Dylan Mendenhall, Elliot ONeill, Carolyn Smith & Grant Bishop and numerous great-grandchildren. Ken was a WWII Veteran in the Army Air Corps serving in the Pacific Theatre. His community service included: President of the Mecca PTA, member of the Mecca School Board, President of the 20/30 Club, President of the College of the Desert Classified Employee Association. Ken enjoyed traveling with his wife, Louise and also spent time as a Grape Rancher. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at the home of Mr. Hellmans daughter, Carolyn Mizell in New Braunfels. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association.
