Kathryn A. Biggs Mauldin

Kathryn A. Biggs Mauldin “Nana”, age 67, passed away at her home in Marion, Texas on Sunday, February 11, 2024. She was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on July 10, 1956 to parents, Henry and Margaret Biggs. Kathy graduated from Jacksonville High School of Jacksonville, Arkansas in 1974.

On August 13, 1976, Kathryn married Gregory Mauldin-Sutlief. She worked at a daycare where she enjoyed working with children. Kathy was a dedicated, loving mother and Nana. Kathy enjoyed gardening and canning the fresh vegetables from her garden alongside her mother. She loved donating to many local churches to help others. Kathy and her sister Margaret volunteered at the food pantry in Seguin. She also loved taking care of her mom and her family’s animals. Kathy’s passion was supporting her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was always happy and eager to cheer on and support her family at all the many events in their lives. She loved the Lord and had a kind and gentle soul. She gave all she was blessed with to her family and friends. Kathy (daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, nana, and friend) will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Mauldin and father, Henry Biggs. She is survived by her children, Gregory Mauldin, Jr. with spouse Francis, Christina Richardson, Kristopher Mauldin, and Kristin Thompson (who was raised by Kathy) with spouse Camden; grandchildren, Clayton Reising, Torrance Mauldin, Coletin Reising, David Richardson and John Richardson; great grandchildren, Clayton Reising, Jr., Gunner Thompson, Addelynn Thompson, Oaklyn Richardson, Paisyn Mauldin and Jasper Reising; mother, Margaret Biggs; siblings, Brenda Finley with spouse Ron, Michael Biggs with spouse Juli and Margaret Kersh with spouse Ron; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30AM on Thursday, March 7^th, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Marion, Texas with interment to follow at 1:15PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
