Judy Byington Troyer, 81 years old.
October 1, 1944-June 24, 2026
Beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend returned to our Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, surrounded by many family and friends.
She was born October 1, 1944 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Chauncey Elliott Byington and Ruth Anderson Byington. Judy was raised in Layton, Utah with 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Judy faithfully married Charles Conrad Troyer on August 25, 1962. He joined the Air Force and she followed him around the world. Their life centered around family. Together they raised 3 children, Dorinda, Teresa and Jeffery.
Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished every one of them. Judy retired in 2002, after 25 years of service with JC Penney. She got great joy creating birthday cards for her loved ones. She enjoyed crocheting and could make just about anything (as long as she had a pattern!)
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Troyer, her daughter Teresa Faye Troyer, her parents Chauncey and Ruth Byington, two brothers Roy Steven Byington (Trudy), Lynn Jay Byington (Claudia), brothers-in-law, Albert Leikis Jr and George Taylor, sisters in law Rebecca Byington and Cheryl Byington.
She is survived by her daughter Dorinda Troyer Jones (Larry) and son Jeffery Scott Troyer (Marsha), two grandchildren Stefany Flowers (JR) and Douglas Charles Ashton (Rebecca), six great-grandchildren, five siblings, Calvin Byington (Rebecca, Don Byington (Cheryl), Doris Leikis (Al), Peggy Taylor (George), and Gene Byington (Darla), her sisters in law Trudy Byington, Claudia Byington and Beverly Troyer, her best friend for over 50 years Elke Jones, and many nieces and nephews, and many more great nieces and nephews.
