Joseph Alan Lundquist, 63, of New Braunfels, TX passed away in San Antonio, TX on August 2, 2026. Joe was born in San Antonio, TX on December 26, 1962 to Alberta Grubb and John (Sonny) Lundquist.
Joe was an avid hot rod enthusiast and a construction worker, designer, and planner of all things that could be built whether it was a vehicle or a building. Joe was the kindest and most generous individual becoming the primary caregiver to his mother, Alberta, after the passing of his father and his brother James. Joe was the fourth of six boys in the family.
Joe is survived by his mother, Alberta Lundquist, his brother John and wife, Sarah, niece Heather Grant; David and Beth Martin, nieces Haley and Faline; niece Krystal Ramirez; Sister in-law Tracey Lundquist, niece Holly and nephew Joshua Lundquist.
Joe was preceded in death by his father John E. Lundquist, brother Robert, brother James, brother Jerome, and nephew Lee Martin.
Services to be held at Schertz Funeral Home as follows:
Visitation August 13, 2026 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Rosary August 13, 2026 7:00 p.m.
Closing Prayers August 14, 2026 11:00 a.m.
Processional following 11 a.m. service to Sunset Memorial Park on Austin Highway, San Antonio for graveside at 1:00.
