John H. Martin passed away peacefully at 86 in Cibolo, Texas in his home on July 2, 2026.

Born in Columbia, South Carolina he was the son of the late John H. Martin Sr and Catherine Cordelia Caroline Pendleton Martin. John graduated from C.A. Johnson High School and American River College with a degree in Arts and served 22 years in the Air Force with the final rank of Master Sergeant.

John was married to the late Susan Banaria Melchor Martin and was predeceased by two sisters Julia Martin Bolton Turner and Dolores Gordon. 

He is survived by his sons Cedrick Martin and Antonio Martin, daughter Christina Rodgers, sisters Violet McKie and Julie Ann Bouknight, and brother Aubrey Martin. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on August 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with full Military Honors.
