Joe Niemietz

Joseph R. Niemietz of Poteet, Texas, aged 68, passed away on Wednesday September 1 st 2021 surrounded by family in San Antonio. He was the son of Daniel Niemietz and Viola (Schwab) Niemietz. Joe was married to his soulmate, Patricia Kelly-Niemietz. He graduated from Clemens High School in 1971. Joe was in the Army National Guard and served from 1972-1978.
Joe started his career in home building at an early age, receiving many awards for his expertise. He mentored many young men, teaching them his craft. Joe was a hunter, fisherman and had a green thumb like none other. He loved dove hunting with his precious Labrador, Tater. His favorite musical was the Lion King. Joe was a grill master extraordinaire and took pride in preparing brisket for family and friends. Joe enjoyed Cajun music and dancing with his wife under the stars.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Edward and his infant daughter, Jacqueline. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; his sons, Jonathan and Joshua, and his daughters Rebecca and Sara. He also leaves his siblings, Ferdinand, Daniel, and Barbara as well as nine cherished grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, September 09, 2021 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Schertz, Texas.
