Jimmy Joe Vaughn, 68, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on Saturday, June 1st, 2024. He was born on March 31, 1956 in Pecos, TX to parents Bill and Beryle Vaughn.

Jimmy had a fulfilling life journey. He graduated from Coronado High School in Lubbock TX and furthered his education at Texas Tech University. He dedicated 35 years to retail management at Dunlaps, followed by another 14 years at Shoe Department. Later in life, he spent 4 years at Windcrest Golf Club.

Outside of work, Jimmy found joy in various hobbies including playing golf, poker, fishing, hunting, and most of all spending time with his beloved grandkids.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Susie Vaughn, daughters; Michaele Smith, and Kelli West (Mike West), sons; Jeremy and David Vaughn (Sherrelle Vaughn), granddaughters; Mckenzie Smith, Kassidy West, Natalie West, and Ava West, grandsons; Jace Vaughn, Grayson Vaughn, and Daniel Vaughn and brother Billy Vaughn.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Beryle Vaughn and brother Robert Vaughn.

A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held in Lubbock, TX with details to be determined. In lieu of flowers or memorials, donations can be made in his honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
