Jimmy Orr

Orr went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on December 18, 2021. He was born on January 6, 1960 in the Panama Canal zone at Gorgas Hospital. He joined the United States Air Force in 1987. He served his country for 22 1/2 years. He retired in 2010. He then entered into Civil Service at Randolph Air Force Base until his retirement.

He had his beautiful wife Nancy by his side for 37 years. He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Orr. He is survived by his mother Silvia Vaca. His mother Dale Orr. His wife Nancy K. Orr. His sisters Kathy Fernandez and Laura Hinton. His children, son Jason Orr and wife Melissa
Orr, daughter Jenifer Orr, son Tyler Orr, and daughter Nicole Moses Boyle. His grandchildren, Steven Orr, Patrick Orr, Brenden Orr, Lila Orr, Kaylinda Boyle, Iris Boyle, and Niko Orr Delagarza.

Anyone who knew Jim, knew his love and extensive knowledge of music. His favorite pastime was going to concerts. He gave Alex Trebek a run for his money any time Jeopardy was on. He loved watching and cheering on his favorite sports teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. He loved riding his motorcycle and driving fast cars. He loved to make others laugh with his corny jokes and had an unforgettable laugh.

A Visitation for Jimmy will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2021 from 5:00-9:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held the following day on Monday, January 10, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home, with a Graveside Service to follow at 1:45 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life following the Graveside will be held at the VFW 1000 FM 78 Schertz, TX 78154. There will be food and stories.
