Jimette Durden

March 3, 1944 — September 13, 2008

Jimette Sharon Durden of Schertz, Texas was born in Meridian, Mississippi on March 3, 1944 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 13, 2008 at the age of 64 years. Jimette grew up in a military family which let her see the World. This was what led her to a life of service to her country working for 42 years in the Civil Service. She finished out her Career working at BAMC in San Antonio, Texas as a Civilian Patient Representative. Jimette is survived by her two brothers, Ray Durden and his wife Betty Ann of Columbus, Georgia, and Roderick Stoney Durden of Schertz, Texas; Nephews, Lee Durden and Tim Durden, great nieces and nephews; Eric and Kyle Switzer & Hunter and Kate Durden; aunts, Jean Stewart, Mary Alice Booth, and Bethene Chapman; and cousins, Carla Ingram, Yulonda Davis, Gilda Faulkner, Kevin Booth, Jim Booth, and Darlene Dickens. Jimette was preceded in death by her parents, Delos and Helen Durden, and by niece, Kyndall Durden on Oct. 6, 2004. A visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Monday, September 15, 2008 from 6-8PM with services to be held in the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 beginning at 10:00AM.
