Jerald Hardin, Jr.

March 18, 1986 — May 23, 2021

Jerald (Jay) Wesley Hardin, Jr., born March 18, 1986 at Yokota Air Base, Japan, passed away on May 23, 2021 in San Antonio, TX, at the age of 35.

As a military child, Jay grew up in Kaiserslautern (K-Town), Germany, which he considered his hometown. He made a lot of friends while growing up in K-Town, many of whom were literally his friends for life. He loved his “K-Town Fam” deeply. He later moved to San Antonio, TX, his second home. He grew to become a hardworking man, who loved his family more than anything. But his greatest joy in life was his son, his “Bud.” Their favorite things to do were playing video and board games, riding hoover boards, and go to Chuck E. Cheese. He truly, truly was the best Dad ever!

He is survived by his parents Jerald Sr. and Donna R. Hardin. He was the loving father of his only son Jordan J. Hardin. He also leaves two sisters, Dawniecia L. Hardin-Trussell (Derrick) and Kamry R. Hardin; one brother, Sterling A. Hardin; one niece, Kennedy L. Hardin; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Jay loved playing games and hanging out with his son, shooting pool, gaming, listening to music, watching football, basketball, and the food network channel.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, 10:00am at the Schertz Funeral Home chapel, the family will begin receiving family and friends at 8:00am.
