Jennifer Jones

Jennifer Lee Jones, age 76, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2023. She was born on April 30, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to Ethelyn May and Floyd Henry Walker, Jr. She married her friend and love, Donald Edward Jones in December of  1966.

Jennifer loved to sew, cross stitch, walk, work out, bird watch, and travel around the United States, Mexico and Canada. She delighted in spending time with her family. She loved having adventures with her husband. She bravely  flew with Donald the first time he flew an airplane, adventurously went on a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon, and rode on the back of Donald's motorcycle.

Jennifer took great pride in being an Air Force wife. She also cherished her role as mother, sister,  grandmother and great-grandmother.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Donald E. Jones, her son Brian Jones and daughter-in-law Lorianne Haman; her granddaughter and her husband, Nichole and Rodolfo Cortez and great-grandson Mateo Cortez; her bonus granddaughters Jaimee Nash & Alix Nash; her sisters Suzanne Hudson (and her husband William), Carol Ann Schreiber, Joanne Reed (and her husband Robert); plus many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and cherished deeply.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Rachel Jones, parents Ethelyn and Floyd Walker, Jr., her sister Charlene Bednarek, and brother Lawrence Walker.

Please join us celebrating her life Thursday morning August 10, 2023, with the viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX 78154.
