Jared Michael Crisp

January 31, 1983 — February 10, 2025

Jared Michael Crisp was 42 when he passed on Monday, February 10th in Bulverde, Texas after many years of struggling with complications from diabetes.

Jared was born at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia to Mike and Denise Crisp, and after many moves and living in multiple states with his military family, he was finally able to call Texas home in 1991. After graduating from Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Helotes, Jared joined the USAF where he served as an Equipment Specialist helping prepare pilots flying mostly F-22 Raptors out of Nellis AFB in Las Vegas. Following his leave from the air force, he attended a few semesters at Northwest Vista and San Antonio Colleges and served briefly in the Army Reserves.

Jared attended Bandera Road Community Church with his family and was baptized in the summer of 2001. With a gift in communicating and relating to kids, he served in BRCC’s youth ministry for a number of years. He was a lover of all animals, particularly his miniature pinscher, Starr. He was passionate about all sports, which began when he joined little league baseball at the age of seven. Although he enjoyed watching televised games of most any sport or team, he was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Braves, anything Longhorn (UT-Austin), and ABC’s (Anybody But Cowboys). Aside from sports, Jared was a foodie always, anxious to try new restaurants and different types of food, regularly sending recipes to friends and family, and indulged in trips to Buc-ee’s for their unique offerings whenever possible.

Jared had never met a stranger and would always find new “friends” everywhere he went. He kept in touch with many “buddies” as far back as grade school. Those friends, as well as his parents, sister, grandfather, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins look forward to the day we can join him with Jesus.
