Janet Ellice Spencer, a beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, peacefully passed away on September 22, 2026, in New Braunfels, Texas, at the age of 82. Born on August 10, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas, Guardie Jefferson Moore and Bertha Mae Schnitz Moore.

A graduate of Thomas Edison High School in 1962, Janet cherished the simple joys of life. She found happiness in fishing, the thrill of gambling, and most of all, in her cherished role as a devoted wife to James Douglas Spencer. United in marriage in 1963, Janet and James shared a life filled with love and laughter until his passing in 2025.

Janet's joy for life extended to her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children; Brandon Spencer and his wife Deanna, Chris Spencer and his wife April, and her adored grandchildren; Logan, Presley, and Ryan. She also found delight in tubing on the Comal River, a favorite pastime that brought smiles and happy memories.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents; Guardie and Bertha, her brother; Orvis and her treasured husband; James.

Family and friends are invited to honor Janet's life at Schertz Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with a visitation at 10 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM.

Janet's legacy of love and joy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
