Janet V. Martinez, age 73 of Schertz, passed away on January 11, 2008. She was born to Arthur & Mary Alice Sculthorpe on January 11, 1935 in Boston, England. Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Martinez. She is survived by her children, Rick Martinez & wife, Patricia, NC, Sandra Spires & husband, Chuck, San Antonio, Teresa Olson & husband, Jeffrey, Cibolo, Anita Orr & husband, Mike, KS; Christopher Martinez & wife, Jessica, Schertz and David Martinez, Schertz; grandchildren, Tiffany Sanchez, Kelley Robertson, Brandon Granato, Tess Martinez, Ricky Martinez, Julianne Martinez, Ryan Olson, Tiffany Olson, Justin Orr, Christopher Orr and Brent Orr, Isabella Martinez & Christian Martinez and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Kendyl, Xavier, Alexis, Nickolas, Grace & Emily, Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM (with a Rosary being Recited at 7:00 PM) on Monday, January 14, 2008 at Schertz Funeral Home. A Mass will be Celebrated at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Randolph Air Force Base Chapel 1 with Father Walter Zinzer as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
