Crayons and handprints on the wall; Muddy shoes tossed here and there; These things we'll miss the most of all, The things we thought we could not bear. For before we held you, and before you smiled, A prior appointment was there to keep; Sweet sunset filled the heavens mild, Casting shadows long and sorrows deep. At once, we saw things great as small, Ridiculous recast as sense -- What a miracle life is after all, As we look around in reverence. At the delicate balance of the stars, And the laugh of children out at play. So, these will turn our thoughts to you and the miracles born of every day. In Loving Memory of Jace Logan Ponder.
